The IT Strategy Definition

The Strategy is long-term plan set up in order to meet the company strategic goals. For IT the strategy means: reflecting the corporate strategy, translating the business goals into IT goals and definition how IT must be governed. IT Strategy is, in fact, about long term direction and organization of IT, that enable to reach defined goals through predictable way. Howerever, how to set up vital IT strategy? When to start? How to align business strategy, IT strategy and IT tactical or operational plans? They are questions which have to be answered in lecture “The Strategy Definition”.

Jan Tolar works such as IS Solution Architect for ITSM in Hewlett-Packard. In his role, Jan is focusing on the ITSM practices deployment, IT Strategic management and definition and deployment of ITG frameworks. Before HP, Jan worked long time in the various managers’ positions for big international companies (Lloyds Pharmacy; ING etc.) where he was responsible for definition and direction of IT strategy & IT service delivery.
He realized many successful ITSM or ITG projects. He holds the international certificate “Manager’s Certificate in ITSM“ and accreditation “1st Course Tutor on the Managers Certificates in ITSM”.
